Admission Requirements

Introduction

Academic programs offered by St. Andrew's Theological College and Seminary have different prerequisites for admission. Undergraduate programs require applicants to transfer at least 60 semester credit hours or the equivalent, 36 of which must be in the disciplines of communications, fine arts, foreign language, history, literature, mathematics, natural sciences, philosophy, physical education, and social sciences. Students lacking prerequisite credit hours may be able to fulfill said hours at St. Andrew’s through our partner colleges and universities.

Statement on Nondiscrimination

St. Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational and admission policies and other college-administered programs.

English Proficiency Requirement

Applicants from outside the United States or non-English speaking countries may be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) as administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). A score of 550 on the paper-based exam, 213 on the computer- based exam, or 80 on the Internet-based exam is required. For more information go to TOEFL.org or write to:

Statement on the Transfer of Credit

Transfer credit may be given for courses from other recognized institutions with demonstrated quality, comparability, appropriateness, and applicability to those of St. Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary. Courses with grades below C (or a grade-point below 2.0) are not transferable. Transfer credits do not affect G.P.A. St. Andrew’s makes transfer decisions consistent with the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) guidelines. Transfer decisions at St. Andrew’s are not made solely on the source of accreditation of a sending program or institution. Students lacking prerequisite credit hours may be able to fulfil said hours at St. Andrew’s through partner colleges and universities.

Students transfer credit earned at a non-accredited institution will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis consistent with this statement.
